Certificate revenue, net metering and project-specific utility opportunities.

Pennsylvania solar value.

Registration required

Solar renewable energy credits

AEPS certificate revenue
Eligible solar systems can register under Pennsylvania’s Alternative Energy Portfolio Standards framework. Certificate revenue depends on generation, eligibility, ownership, market pricing and selling fees.
Utility rules apply

Residential net metering

Eligible systems up to 50 kW
Pennsylvania DEP describes retail-rate credits for eligible residential PV systems up to 50 kW. Your utility’s tariff, interconnection approval and settlement rules determine the details.

Utility energy programs

Project-specific support
Some utility programs support qualifying energy-efficiency or related upgrades. Eligibility differs by service territory and equipment; do not treat these as an automatic solar installation rebate.

Start with your address & bill.

We review your electric utility, tariff, property and project type before estimating savings. Solar credits, net-metering benefits and any utility incentive are separate items—not a guaranteed combined award.
Personalized project review

Homeowners

Compare rooftop or ground-mounted options, expected generation, project cost, financing and certificate ownership before selecting a proposal.
Separate commercial rules

Businesses & nonprofits

Commercial solar may have additional federal credit and financing opportunities. Review those separately with the project team and your tax adviser.
